OOTD : Comfy Casual! X

Our friends are getting married tomorrow 28th September and I just know its going to be an amazing wedding and day- I am so excited!! Anyway, as the other half has my car this week (works away) I have to travel upto the wedding which is in Windsor on the train which unfortunately means a long train journey from Cardiff to Reading... I'm not really the best traveller, in fact I hate it! Typing this whilst on the train is the only thing really keeping me sane...

Anyway, I thought I would show you my outfit of choice for the journey. It really isn't anything fancy but dead comfortable and practical! I also love these jeans that I have on and wear them to death! 

Top - New look. I picked this up in the sale for £5!! Bargain! I think it looks good layered over a plain cami? What you think?

I have teamed this outfit with my fave boots in tan and of course my pride and glory......my Mulberry bayswater!!

Product Review : It's a 10 miracle leave-in product

I really wanted to share with you my thoughts on this product, before we start I really do think its amazing!

 

I remember watching a video from the lovely fleurdeforce about this leave in conditioner spray that she had picked up on her many travels to America and never really thought anymore about it! Until I was in Sally's beauty supplies a month ago and came across the it's a 10 hair care range. My local Sally's in Cardiff is now Salon Services and for trade only customers, but I believe they have some stores still open to the public also? Anyway when I saw it I knew I needed to pick it up as my hair at the moment really hasn't been my friend. I used to have highlights every 6-8 weeks but have recently started having an all over colour put on so just root touch up and then a toner (will do a separate blog post on that myself) so it's taking a little bit of a bleach bashing but *touch wood* has been okay... Although it is so knotty and hard to detangle when wet, Fleur had mentioned that this product was perfect for her bleached hair when tangled.

 

The product claims to do 10 things instantly... big claim I know.. and these are...

 

Repairs dry, damaged hair

Adds Shine

Detangles

Controls frizz

Seals and protects hair color

Prevents split ends

Stops hair breakages

Creates Silkiness

Enhances natural body

Flat Iron spray and thermal protector

 

 

Now that is a lot of claims to make from one small 120ml bottle of product but in all honesty I really do think it is worth the hype. I use this after I have shampooed and conditioned, slightly towel dryed my hair and I spray a small amount of this in my hair leave to sit for a few seconds and then comb through and my hair is dentagled and feeling silky smooth. I have used this religously for the last month and my hair is finally starting to look so much healthier and also has more of a shine that it didnt have because of the bleach abuse!!

 

I picked this product up for £10.75 in Sallys and although this is a bit expensive I would really recommend it! I have been using this like I say for the last month and I have used probably a quarter of the bottle, so it will last quite a while!

My names Alix and I'm a tea-aholic... See what I did there? ;)

 

I have been reading blogs and watching YouTube videos for well over a year now and have thought to myself, I need to be doing this! I have so much to say about pretty much everything so what better than to have a forum like this to do it on!

 

Where I am going to go with this blog I don't know... I don't want to label myself as a beauty blogger or a lifestyle blogger but I will just put it out there that I like all things beauty and will probably have a few posts beauty related more than anything else.

 

So... about me

 

I'm 24 currently and live in South Wales, just outside Cardiff... yes the 'Valleys' I have to say though we are nothing like the MTV show 'The Valleys' That's just sodding embarrassing! I live with my boyfriend of 3 years and we have our own little house with a 1 year old English Bull Terrier called Troy. Who is the naughtiest and most disobedient dog there is!!

 

I work full time in the NHS and although enjoy my job and the people that I work with, I am one of those who only work to pay the bills. If I could be a lady of leisure than I most definitely would be no doubt about it!
